Scott Den Haan
Scott Den Haan and his spouse, Steacy, along with their daughters, continue the family tradition of breeding and exhibiting Shorthorn cattle at Townline Cattle Company. Their herd maintains strong genetic ties to Glen Islay Shorthorns, established by Scott’s grandfather, Archie Currie, whose influence remains prominent in their breeding program today. In addition, Scott Den Haan owns and operates a hoof trimming business, providing expert hoof trimming to both dairy and beef cattle. He is also an active member of the industry, currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Hoof Trimmers Guild. His experience in both in serving the industry as well as growing a herd of shorthorn cattle will bring a valuable perspective to the Ontario Shorthorn Association.

Proud OJSA and CJSA alumni and past OJSA president. Wanting to get back involved with the OSA after taking a break from showing the last 5 years.
Don Jack
Don Jack is the proud owner of Coldstream Farms, an operation located outside Flesherton, Ontario. Coldstream Farms has earned OSA Point Show Champion, Bull of the year and Female of the year in both 2023 and 2024. Beyond the show ring success, Don is a dedicated advocate for the next generation of cattle enthusiasts. As a major supporter of the Emerson Clark Junior Shorthorn Show at the Royal Winter Fair, he is committed to fostering youth involvement in the industry. With a wealth of expertise in both business and cattle industry, Don brings a unique blend of strategic insight and hands-on knowledge. Don looks forward to sharing his knowledge with the OSA.
Ross Laycock
Ross has been in the Shorthorn breed for the past several years. He is the herdsman at Holland Lane Farm, as well as co owning TrailView Shorthorns. He looks forward to serving Ontario’s Shorthorn breeders.
Martin Mason
My family and I have bred Shorthorns for over 30 years. I feel my past experience on the board could help younger board members. I am currently Ontario’s CSA representative. I believe Shorthorns have a role to play in the commercial beef industry. I am very encouraged when I see the Shorthorn youth programmes gaining so much traction across the country. I would be happy to serve the membership for three more years.
Blair McGlashan
I’m Blair McGlashan, I’ve been apart of the shorthorn breed since I was 12 years old, competitively showing across Canada and expanding my herd ever since. I currently run 15 shorthorn & angus cows alongside my partner Brandy and daughter Adalynn, in Woodville Ontario with hopes to continue expansion in the upcoming years. I look forward to being more actively involved in the Shorthorn breed and making it the best experience possible for those just joining as well.
Joline Quinn
My name is Joline Quinn, I am 23 years old, and the proud owner of Cedar Back Farms, running a herd of registered shorthorns, at my home farm in Cannington Ontario. My love for shorthorns began at a young age, starting my showing career at Glenrothes farm. At the age of 17, I purchased my first shorthorns, starting my herd. Since then, Cedar Back Farms has grown to a herd of 21 head, with many being actively shown through the year at breed shows and local fairs. Alongside the shorthorns, I am a 4H leader for the Durham West beef club, and serving my second term as Vice president for the Beaverton Agricultural Society. I bring my love for agriculture and shorthorns everywhere I go, and I am honored to be nominated for the OSA board.
